The Japan Foundation (JF), in partnership with Kyoto Experiment: Kyoto International Performing Arts Festival , has launched “Sequence” a new talent development program for the performing arts in Japan and the ASEAN region. This project aims to foster the development of the next generation through personal interaction between artists and audiences. It is being implemented over a three-year period from 2025 to 2027 as part of the comprehensive human exchange initiative, “Next-Generation Co-Creation Partnership – Culture WA 2.0,” which seeks to promote exchanges and nurture talent among the next generation in Japan and ASEAN.
As part of this program, we invited Mark Teh, one of Malaysia’s leading contemporary theater directors, to lead a workshop on his creative methodology.
