Talents Tokyo 2015

“Talents Tokyo” is the talent development and networking platform for East Asian and Southeast Asian filmmakers. The Japan Foundation Asia Center joins this “Talents Tokyo” as one of organizers in 2015. This year’s theme is “Me against the world”.

This year’s theme is “Me against the world”. Main Film experts at the forefront of cinema including PARK Kiyong (Director), Stephan HOLL (Producer), Emilie GEORGES (World Sales) will share their experiences through lectures. During the 6 days of the 16th TOKYO FILMeX held from November 23-28, 2015, 15 upcoming promising filmmakers and producers from 12 Asian countries will gather in Tokyo with opportunities to learn how to be recognized worldwide and build an international network.

PARK Kiyong (Director)

Since graduating from the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA) in 1987, he has worked on various film projects as producer and director. While his representing KAFA from 2001 to 2009, the institution turned into a world class film school. He worked toward the launch of Asian Film Academy (AFA), co-presented by the Korean Academy of Film Arts and the Busan International Film Festival, and Cinema Digital Seoul Film Festival (CinDi). He teaches directing at the Graduate School of Cinematic Content, Dankook University (DGC), since the opening in 2012.

Stephan HOLL (Producer)

Founded his own company Rapid Eye Movies in1996. This company is a film label dealing in film distribution, production and music in Germany and increasingly international territories. Subject matter of their work is the Asian including the Indian cinema, and outstanding projects from around the world. Throughout the years they have made a step from classical theatrical film to establishing a label for highly esthetical films.

Emilie GEORGES_photo

Emilie GEORGES (World Sales)

After working at Flach Pyramide and Pan Européenne, where she was in charge of sales & international co-productions, Emilie GEORGES founded Memento Films Distribution and Production with Alexandre Mallet-Guy, in 2003. She has been co-president of ADEF, the association of French sales agents, since 2009. She produces through her own production company, La Cinéfacture. Recently she received the medal of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
