Japan

The Japan Foundation established ASEAN Culture Center in January 1990 with the aim of introducing the diverse cultures and arts of Asia, particularly ASEAN countries. From then, The Japan Foundation's art exchange projects have subsequently continued while adopting formats and approaches appropriate to the times, including exhibitions, symposiums, and curator development programs. To look back on these endeavors, we launched web pages of The Japan Foundation Asian Art Archive, an archival collection of these projects.

On the occasion of the Curators' Forum 2018 "Imagining New Ecologies 2018," we will feature a three-day display on the Japan Foundation Asian Art Archive. A part of the archive including videos, photos and catalogues that you cannot see on the web pages will be on display.
